Calling All ‘Whos’

HORTON GETS A CLUE

This post is a little more difficult than usual, but it is VERY important. Kids you are some of the the little ‘whos’ whos yopps need to be heard… READ ON

If you hang around the Dream King,
You get into His dream stream,
You join yourself to His dream team,
And you do the Martin Luther King thing.

This was the poem of our heart when we launched the Justice House of Prayer (JHOP) in DC. A band of young people dared to dream and pray that another great move of justice would come again to our land , just like it did through Martin Luther King, Jr. who helped remove segregation, (when white and black people were not treated equally) Now, once again, God is shouting: “I have a dream! Let the unborn children go free and live!

God is communicating His big dream of ending abortion in a REALLY NEAT way through the dream stream story of ‘Horton Hears a Who’ by Dr. Seuss. In February 2005, one of our youth, a 15-year-old girl at the Justice House of Prayer, had a dream. In the dream she saw a large, beautiful building with the words “The Who” appearing over it. She and her sisters entered the house and began to look throughout the building until they found the attic where there was a series of old books from the past that they knew would be needed for the future. She shared her dream with the JHOP team. I knew the dream was from God, but I wondered, “What is ‘The Who,‘ and what are these old books?”

The next morning while thinking about the dream, I received a special email from a man in Kansas City that included a sermon he gave several years ago on what he felt needed to happen for abortion to end. He felt he had to send it to me, even though he thought it was strange that the picture the Lord had given him was from the Dr. Seuss book, Horton Hears a Who. When I read this, I right away remembered ”The Who” in the dream with “The Who” in the book. I was immediately interested!

In this children’s book written in 1954, we find an elephant whose name is Horton. He is the prophetic Church with big ears and a large trumpet. He can hear what no one else can hear–the sound of these little people called, The Whos, who live in the microscopic town of Who-ville.

In the book, we also find a kangaroo who wants to kill all the little Whos, because he cannot see or hear them. He doesn’t believe they exist. Immediately the thought came to me, “The kangaroo is the kangaroo court!”–it stands for the Supreme Court who passed a law in ’73 in Roe v Wade, and legalized, (or made a law that would allow) abortion. Wow! I realized that what I was reading was a parable from the past that God was now going to use to help end abortion. The theme of the whole book amazingly is, “A person’s a person, no matter how small!” And the remedy for the crisis is that every voice must be raised loudly and urgently to rescue all the little unborn Whos. With the kangaroo’s death decree hanging over Who-ville, Horton implores the mayor “to CALL a big meeting, get everyone out, make every Who holler, make every Who shout!”

SO on 7-7-07, (July 7 2007) we are having a meeting called  ”The Call” again. We are inviting the church of ALL AGES in the nation to cry out to God for the life of the unborn and the ending of abortion. So all the little Whos will gather at The Call and raise their voices, so that the kangaroo will hear and know that they are persons after all.

Quoted from Dr. Seuss’ book Horton Hears a Who:

And Horton called back, “I can hear you just fine.
But the Kangaroo’s ears aren’t as strong, quite, as mine.
They don’t hear a thing! Are you sure all your boys
Are doing their best? Are they ALL making noise?
Are you sure every Who down in Who-ville is working?
Quick! Look through your town! Is there anyone shirking?”

Through the town rushed the Mayor, from the east to the west.
But everyone seemed to be doing his best.
Everyone seemed to be yapping or yipping!
Everyone seemed to be beeping or bipping!
But it wasn’t enough, all this ruckus and roar!
He HAD to find someone to help him make more.
He raced through each building! He searched floor-to-floor!

And, just as he felt he was getting nowhere,
And almost about to give up in despair,
He suddenly burst through a door and that Mayor
Discovered one shirker! Quite hidden away
In the Fairfax Apartments (Apartment 12-J)

A very small, very small shirker named Jo-Jo
Was standing, just standing, and bouncing a Yo-Yo!
Not making a sound! Not a yipp! Not a chirp!
And the Mayor rushed inside and grabbed the young twerp!

And he climbed with the lad up the Eiffelberg Tower.

“This,” cried the Mayor, “is your town’s darkest hour!
The time for all Whos who have blood that is red

To come to the aid of their Country!” he said.
“We’ve GOT to make noise in greater amounts!
So, open your mouth, lad! For every voice counts!”

Thus he spoke as he climbed. When they got to the top,
The lad cleared his throat and he shouted out, “YOPP!”

And that Yopp…
That one small, extra Yopp put it over!
Finally, at last! From that speck on that clover
Their voices were heard! They rang out clear and clean
And the elephant smiled. “Do you see what I mean?…
They’ve proved they ARE persons, no matter how small.
And their whole world was saved by the Smallest of All!”

“How true! Yes, how true,” said the big kangaroo.
“And, from now on, you know what I’m planning to do?…
From now on, I’m going to protect them with you!”
And the young kangaroo in her pouch said,…

“…ME TOO!
From sun in the summer. From rain when it’s fall-ish,
I’m going to protect them. No matter how small-ish!”

When this was first posted by Elijah list, amazingly, the next day I received an email from a woman who shared: that the following day at her Day Care Center, one child came in with a Horton Hears a Who backpack, a second was carrying a Who-ville doll, but the third–a ten-year-old boy–came to her and said, “Ma’am, I had a dream last night. I dreamt of Horton Hears a Who, and all the little Whos were not saying YOPP; they were crying STOP!!!”

There is a HUGE cry being raised up from the young ones of the earth, praying “STOP ABORTION, STOP! STOP! STOP!!!!!!!!!!” What are the chances of God showing us that we were on the right track like this?  The whole Church, big and small, must cry out now–STOP ABORTION!

Soon after, another man connected with me and said, “My ten-year-old daughter was reading Horton Hears a Who to her little brother.” She came to her father and said, “Dad, I think this book is about ending abortion.”

The YOPPS Must Be Heard

The voices of Jo-Jos just bouncing their yo-yos must now be heard. The Jo-Jos are Christians who are enjoying their comfortable careers, but are don’t have their Kingdom Goggles on. They are the youth in our Church youth groups who play with their iPods and who browse in their Windows. While living for entertainment, they have no idea that they were meant to be a part of God’s great movement to end abortion! Their voices must be heard now!!! Let Myspace® and You Tube™ become their Eieffelberg towers from which they shout out their YOPPS and their STOPS.

Why do you think that God is speaking to the young people in both the US and Canada that are praying in the capital cities? It is so that the kangaroo will say:

“How true, yes, how true,” said the big kangaroo, “and from now on you know what I am planning to do? From now on I am going to protect them with you!”

While many of you probably cannot go to this meeting “The Call,” in Nashville, you can still pray on the 7th of July between 10 :00a.m. and 10:00 p.m. and let your “yopp” be added to all the other “yopps”, and pray for an end to abortion in our nation.  Remember what Rachel said  ”Someone needs to stand up!” We all need to stand up and let our Yopps be heard for the truth!”

For more information check out: http://www.thecall.com.

Also 4MYC a group is headed by Faytenne K. shares in Canada: Thank you so much to all of you who made your voice heard for those who have no voice (the unborn) by voting on the CBC Face Book poll “The Great Canadian Wish List.” It is official! “Abolish Abortion in Canada” took the #1 spot .

Devotions by Kids for Kids

 DEVOTIONS BY KIDS FOR KIDS

By Rachel (8 years old)
Vancouver, British Columbia.

When my family and me pray in the morning, God has been saying that if the young people in Canada would rise up, God will bless each one of us, as well as our country. But I have been thinking: SOMEONE needs to take the stand, but most children are too embarrassed at my church. So I was thinking that if no one will take the stand then I WOULD. I know a verse that has something to do with this; it is found in Psalms 100 and it says:

Shout for joy to the Lord all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before Him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us
we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise
give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For the Lord is good and His love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through all generations. (Emphasis mine)

When I heard that verse I started to cry. God loves us so much, and wants all the generations to know it.

PRAYER: Let’s use the words of the song RISE UP as a prayer, that the children in Canada would rise up and shout for joy to the Lord, and thank Him for His faithfulness.

RISE UP together everybody
Stand up together God’s people
For it’s your hour, and by His power
This Land will see the coming of the Spirit of God.

We have the truth for this Nation,
God’s way the way of salvation,
We’ll do our part, the fire will start,
This Land will see the coming of the Spirit of God.

Every Valley shall be lifted up
And every High place brought down
The crooked ways shall be straightened out
To make a highway for our God and King

Rise up in the power of His word
Rise up, in the name of the Lord.
Rise up, for in unity we stand
Rise up, take His love to all lands
Rise up!
Rise up!
Rise Up!

Prayer for Canada

HAPPY CANADA DAY!

Did you know that right in the national anthem of Canada there is a prayer?…   God keep our land Glorious and free… Let’s think of that when you celebrate today. Also the USA celebrates their independance day on July 4th! A pretty special week.

What kind of fun things are you going to do to celebrate? Are you going to check out the fireworks tonight?  I am!

In the middle of our celebrations, let us take some time to pray for our government leaders. God asks us to pray for our government leaders, WHY?  So that our country will be blessed. (I Tim. 2: 1-2)

Here are some prayers from the Bible to help you as you pray. They are verses taken from the bible that are made into  prayers. That is called praying the scriptures. We know that those prayers are right on as that is what was on God’s heart when He had people write those verses.

Wisdom: God of wisdom, help our leaders to fear You so that they would be wise. Give them your judgments. Help them to seek wise counsel, take only good advice, and accept correction if they need it. Encourage them make wise decisions (Prov. 15.22, 19.20 Ps.72:1)

Courage: Lord Help our leaders to be strong and brave. Help them do what is right even if they stand alone. Give them the confidence that you are their helper and so that they will not be afraid of what anyone says or thinks. Let them legislate laws that are just and righteous. (Josh. 1:7, Heb 13:6 Ps. 72)

Humility: Guide our leaders to do what is good: help them to be humble. Help them do what is right, and love being kind to others.  The Bible tells us that You will protect, guide and teach them if they would show true humility. Help them not to speak evil of each other but to live in peace and be polite to all people. (Micah 6:8. Ps 18:27, 25:9. Titus 3:2)

Honesty: Father, help our leaders to live honestly. Help them have nothing to do with evil. Help them not to listen to lies or to speak out lies. Help them to be champions for truth. (Ps. 101:2-4, Prov. 16:13, 29:12)

Compassion: Father, lead our leaders do what is right for the poor and needy in our country. Help them to come to the rescue of the weak and the orphans. Help them not to seek revenge or to hold a grudge. Help them to save the lives of the needy and rescue them from oppression and violence.  (Ps 72, Prov. 29:14)

HOME: Father, build truth into the homes of each leader in Canada. Help them want to do what is right. Give them wisdom and understanding. Let each home be filled with peace and quiet. (Ps. 127:1, Prov.14:11, 24:3. 17:1)

Justice: Let them bring justice to the hurting people in the streets of the cities. Let them love kindness, and may they judge the people with righteousness. (Ps 72. Micah 6:8)

Turn our nation to fear you so that Your Name would be honored throughout our land. Let us be a part of the generation that would rise up and seek your face. Let the scripture be true that You would have dominion from sea to sea and from the river to the ends of the earth.

We pray for our nation that there would be abundance of grain and all sorts of crops this summer. Let the trees flourish and there be lots of good fruit. Let the seas be filled with all kids of fish.
Father, Let our nation be a nation that is known for its justice, compassion, and generosity to others and for bringing healing to the nations. Let your Glory fall on our land; let it go forth from here to the nations.
(Ps 72: and Ps.24)

AMEN !
