Story of Daniel: continued

Finally the bus arrived and Daniel climbed up the steps. He felt like he should walk to the back of the bus today and wondered if it was Father guiding him there so he went for it and sat in the middle of the back bench. He could see almost everyone from here and started to wonder if there was anyone here who Father was referring to as “poor and thirsty”.

Two boys came onto the bus looking mad at each other. Daniel knew they were brothers. They must have had a fight or something Daniel thought. One of them sat down with another boy and the other one came to the back and sat beside Daniel.

Daniel recognized him from the playground. He was a year younger than Daniel but pretty nice. His name was Greg and Daniel noticed that he was reading a book called, “The Golden Compass”. Daniel had heard of it and asked Greg if it was good. Greg answered, “Yeah it’s really good”. Daniel asked “What’s it about?” Greg began to tell him about the story and Daniel realized as Greg said, “I wonder what it would be like to have little creatures with you all the time telling you what is happening and helping you figure life out”, that Greg did not know his Father King.

Daniel immediately felt his Father’s hand and knew this was someone who was thirsty as well as poor. Daniel discerned that Greg was thirsting for true water. He now understood that this was someone who needed to be set free from the power of the evil servant.

Daniel said, “Boy Greg, do I have a story for you! My story will answer that question. Meet me at lunch. Daniel could see Greg was impressed that someone older than him wanted to have lunch with him, so he quickly agreed.
Greg continued to read for a bit as they drove to the school and Daniel prayed that Father would open Greg’s heart and do for him what he had already done in his own heart. Daniel also prayed he would have the right words to share the wonderful story as he had heard it told to him.
Peace came over Daniel as his heart filled with compassion for Greg and he knew for the first time Father’s love for another person.

He felt like there was nothing he wouldn’t be willing to take so that this one person could become a Son of Father/King. Was this how the Son, Jesus felt toward everyone?

Wow! Daniel realized that when God’s love comes into you like that, you are no longer afraid about what to say or of how dumb you might sound.

He felt strong and full of truth and realised that someone needed this truth to be free from the lies and prison chains!

The Son had already made the way easy. Now Daniel only had to tell about it. It was the best story ever written because it was totally true!! Daniel could hardly wait for lunch, but knew he must also do his very best in class as a faithful son.
At recess Daniel got out a book he had received as a present after Father spoke his name.
He had told the boy what Father said, and the next day the Pastor had handed him a bag with a book and a note saying, “This book will tell you a lot about “Names”. Enjoy it Daniel and tell others.” Daniel decided to look up Greg’s name in it before lunch.

Daniel learned that Greg’s name came from the Greek and meant “Guardian”. The Spiritual meaning was “God’s Trustee”. There was a verse under it from 1Corinthians 16:13

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.”

Wow! Daniel realized that Greg had a very special purpose in the kingdom of his Father! How Cool!!!

Daniel met Greg at lunch and told him his story. He told him of the Kingdom and all about the evil servant and the Son of Father/King. Daniel noticed that Greg was as fascinated with this story as Daniel had been and he also noticed that once he began the story it was as though it just told itself. At times, he seemed to be listening to himself tell the story and knew that Father was with him and Holy Spirit was speaking through him.

When he told Greg about his inside eyes called the “Eyes of His Understanding”, Greg said it reminded him of the way the little creatures helped the children in the Golden Compass, but he was beginning to wonder if the evil servant had the children under his power in this story. Daniel told him that the evil servant continues to try to draw all people away from truth and from Father King’s protection by taking their hearts captive when they accept his lies. He said their eyes become blinded to truth, their ears don’t want to hear it either, and their minds have trouble figuring out what they should do. God has to come and break the evil one’s power over you before you can listen.

He explained that even though the evil servant, had been beaten, he continues to lie whenever he can so he can have even a little power over us. We must stay close to Father and listen to him every day, so that we don’t find ourselves falling into his traps and so that we can be part of Father’s work to bring the truth about this to everyone he shows us.

Daniel told Greg that Father had broken that power over Greg today so he could hear the truth and understand it. He told him how Father spoke to him that morning and how he had sat in a different seat than usual on the bus. Greg realized he had also sat in a different place, but the best part was when God’s spirit came on Greg. Greg wanted to become a Son and to be free from the evil servant’s world and prayed with Daniel that day.

Daniel showed Greg his Name Book and together they read the meaning of his name. Daniel agreed to meet with Greg tomorrow so they could pray and read from Father’s book together.
Greg gave Daniel his book The Golden Compass and said, “I don’t want to read anything that doesn’t teach me how to be Father’s son right now.” Daniel gave him a booklet that had been given to him. It tells you how to grow as a son, to have special times with Father each day and to read the Bible book.
Daniel went home that day realizing that the Son was creating a Special Forces Unit like when the army sends in help after a war has been won to protect and take care of people, making sure the enemy does not try to take back land he has lost.
Daniel wondered if perhaps it was going to carry His power within his school, even on his bus. He wondered what would happen if the whole bus was set free. Tonight he would ask Father for the bus. He would thank Him for Greg.
He had felt God’s power moving through him today. He had also felt great love – God’s love – for Greg.

Another prisoner set free…..

What would tomorrow bring?

A story for Daniel: Chapter Nine

A story about the Kingdom for children, by Elizabeth Poulsen

As Daniel waited for the bus,  he remembered the verse he had read this morning. Father had begun to teach him truth. Each day as he talked with his Father, Daniel would have a thought enter his mind. Sometimes it was a question. Sometimes it was something Father wanted to say to him. When it was a question, Daniel knew that something had been worrying him and Father wanted to help him sort it out. Daniel spent time sitting quietly or lying down each night now before getting ready for bed. This was his special time to go over his day and to learn from Father.

As Daniel sat in his room, he felt the warm hand of his Father touching his head. He knew Father would give him instructions if he waited a little longer. Daniel opened his heart to Holy Spirit to receive Father’s thoughts. The boy from Africa had taught them to say, “Holy Spirit I open my heart to You. Please cleanse me and remove any blocks to your voice. I give you my mind, my emotions and my will today and ask you to teach me all I need to know as a Son. Give me your strength and open the eyes of my understanding to discern what is right and good. Use me to build Your Kingdom Father.”

As Father’s love began to fill Daniel, his eyes felt clean and Father’s thoughts started to come into his own thoughts. It was funny how he always thought when God spoke it would be like when anyone spoke and you heard them with your ears, but he learned that now that he and Father are one, the thoughts of Father simply flowed into his own thoughts. He could tell they were Father’s because they were filled with so much love and they were always things he didn’t know or wouldn’t ever think of by himself.

This morning he had read Isaiah 41:17. “The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.”
As Daniel sat still, Father said, “Daniel my son, today I am going to teach you how to see the “poor” and the “thirsty”. Do you remember when I taught you that being poor don’t always mean having no money? It means having no relationship with me as your Father as well as many other things that are missing in a person’s life. Now I want you to think of what it might mean to be thirsty the same way. There are many things a person can thirst for Daniel. Did you know that you carry within you a special kind of water? It is “living” water. When I show you someone who thirsts, it is because I want you to give them this water to drink.  When people are searching for answers to important questions, it is living water or truth that fills them then. Because my Spirit lives within you now, you have the power to answer those questions as my spirit flows through your spirit. Just turn to me for the answers.  Remember, I am with you and love you. I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says “Do not fear”. I will help you.
Daniel felt strength from his Father fill him as he ran out the door to wait for the bus.

A story for Daniel continued…

A story for children by Elizabeth Poulsen
Chapter 8

Danni could hardly wait to catch the bus to hear the last day of the story. As he climbed up the steps, the girl who raised her hand was sitting just inside. She smiled at him and Danni smiled back. Then he waited impatiently as the bus took them to the most important day of Danni’s life.

As the boy from Africa continued the greatest story Danni had ever heard, he began to realize that answers to some of his questions over the past few weeks were becoming clear. He had wondered for a long time how the Christmas story of Jesus being born in a stable had really changed the world and WHY people celebrated it all over the world every year. He also noticed that less and less people were mentioning it and now it was referred to as “Happy Holidays”. Even the television specials seemed to leave the birth of Jesus out now. He also realized that JESUS must be the Son that the boy from Africa had been talking about… and to think that all this time there was a day to celebrate his birth! That made it more important than any other day of the year! If the Son had not been born that day in a stable, all the other things that he had learned about this last while could not have happened. Danni knew that somehow he was going to follow the Son and hoped the boy would teach him how.

He listened closely as the story continued….

The Son told his friends that he would go back to His Father and would care for them. They could now have His presence with them always for He would send His spirit to live within them and to teach them all things.

The Son gave instructions to His special friends before He left. He told them to go into the entire world and teach everyone this Wonderful News of what He had done for them. The chains would come off and their inside eyes would be opened to understand truth, if they believed all that the Son had done for them.

They would be adopted back into the Kingdom of their Father and Creator, a kingdom that is ruled by Father/King, His Son and His spirit, called Holy Spirit. They would become strong as Holy Spirit came into them and breathed life once more into their spirits. They would then know their Father/King once again, just as they had before the Evil one had come on the scene. They would know that the Father wanted to share with them all that He had.

They were to teach the children about the Kingdom as the Son had taught them. They were to take back what the evil servant had stolen and now they would have the power to do so. This power would come from the Holy Spirit whom He would send.

The boy from Africa then looked at Danni and said, “The Son told them He was going to prepare a special place for them with His Father in the Kingdom of Heaven. Someday they would join Him there and so would everyone who believed in the Son of Father/King and all He had done for them.

The boy raised his eyes upward and took a deep breath as he said, “I am one of the children of my Father who has received this truth. That is why I have come to you today. I am here to tell you that  you can also receive what the Son has done for you.
The Son’s name is Jesus. He came to remove from you the sin of Adam.
Your inside eyes can be opened to see the truth in all things if you receive His Spirit into your life. Do you want to do like I did? If you do, pray this prayer with me.”

Danni began to pray,

Father – it’s me Danni, one of your children.
Danni felt tears on his cheeks as Father’s presence came over him.

Father - thank you for sending Your Son to rescue me. I too have believed the lies of the evil servant and I want to be free to be your son. Please forgive me. I receive what your Son, Jesus, has done for me. I want to live as your faithful son and follow Him. Please let your Spirit come into me.  Breathe life into my spirit and open my inside eyes to know the truth I pray.

As Danni breathed this prayer, the Father’s love poured over him like warm oil. He suddenly became aware that Father King was speaking to him. It was like someone speaking into your thoughts only it was filled with an amazing love he had never felt before.

Danni heard the Father say, “My Spirit is here my child. From now on I will call you “Daniel” which means “God is my judge”. You will not have to worry about what others decide about you at school any more Daniel. Just care about what I decide; for I love you and I am always fair. You will be my son and I will be your Father. I have given you a special gift over the past few weeks to be intuitive or discerning. You have been very aware of things that seem right and things that seem wrong. This gift is causing you to ask questions and wonder what is true. Remember to always obey my truth so this gift can grow. I will teach you many things Daniel. I will show you that I do what is fair for those who have been wronged, just as I did with the boy who came to tell you My Story. I will show you how I give food of all kinds to the hungry and set prisoners free. We will have many adventures together, you and I.”

His insides felt like light was shining everywhere. Joy entered his heart that day and tears poured out of his eyes even though he was not sad in any way. He knew he was not alone. He knew that Father was with him and he would never be the same again.

Danni had just been given the best Christmas present ever! He had a new name! He was aware of other things as well. Father said he had become “intuitive”. He was going to have many adventures and would be taught new things from Father. He had “peace” and “joy” and knew THIS was what the angels sang about in Bethlehem. IT ALL made sense now!  Peace came to earth that day and it had nothing to do with wars ending! It could end wars if everyone received it. It could also end arguing at home. Daniel wondered…..

A Story for Daniel…continued

A story for children: By Elizabeth Poulsen

As Danni waited for the continuation of the story, the boy from Africa began to talk about his own reaction to it. He said when he was first told this story he began to weep when he heard about the death of the Son of Father/King.

He realized that people all around him had been prisoners of the evil servant. He had been waiting for the answer to their problems to become more clear by listening to hear all about what the Son would do. However, he began to lose hope when the kind lady who fed him told of the death of the Son.

But, he said, something else was happening to him as well. All along, as he was listening to the beautiful story, his own life seemed to be filled with a new understanding. He was able to see himself as one of the children of this wonderful Father. He had begun to recognize that he too was not free in this world. He was just like the other children of Adam and Eve.

He said that he had also become aware of his “inside eyes” as he listened to this true story and for the first time he knew that he could trust someone to guide him onto the right path. It was like having a father that you had never met but you just knew that when you did you would know he was your father. That is how he was feeling about Father/King. He just knew that Father/King was his father too. A new sense of excitement and strength had been welling up inside him and he felt he was in this story along with all the other children of Adam and Eve. He asked if anyone else in the room felt this way to put up their hand.

Danni’s hand shot in the air as he realized that he felt exactly the same way! He noticed that lots of kids had raised their hand as well. There was a girl in front of Danni who took the same bus he took to school. She raised her hand too.

Well, said the boy, you will love the next part of my story……

The evil servant was suddenly so weak he fell to his knees and with barely the strength to raise his eyes he looked upon the One he thought he had destroyed.

There before him stood the Son of Father/King holding the keys to death and hell. They looked different now. When he held them they were black and heavy. Something had transformed them and in the Son’s hands they had become red and golden. You could see a rainbow shining through them. Was this the promise he had seen so often in the sky?

As the Son stood before him the evil servant was powerless to stand. He was aware of prison doors opening. He knew he had lost this battle. His kingdom had ended. All he thought he had accomplished was crumbling before his eyes. The power of this One was too great. All around him poured the fragrance of love. Oh how he hated that smell. He knew of its power – power to bring life where death was at work; power to melt chains of every kind.

No longer the god of this world, he watched his prisoners walk free! Powerless, he watched his army cower and faint in His presence! The evil servant could not speak. He could not flee. He could only kneel at this One’s feet as his kingdom of pain and death was washed with love from the Son

And just when he thought it was over, the Son turned to him and with a gesture of his hands, those hands that had been nailed to the cross, the weapons and amour the evil servant had carried were suddenly removed. Not only did he feel powerless, he now looked powerless!

This evil one had not only lost this battle, but could never again hold creation a prisoner. Life and love had entered this place, life eternal. It had come in the form of the Son of the Father. The evil servant knew that the life of the Father was in this Son. He recognized the greatness of His power. Though he would never choose to surrender to it, he could not stand against it, for it was the power of love-

~The love of Father/King for all He had created~

This love was flowing over the earth, renewing it and washing it from the curses that had come over it long ago. The people could not see nor understand what was happening… not yet. Many were still very sad, thinking that the Son was dead. They did not know that death could not hold him. Nor did they know that He was busy taking back all things stolen by the evil servant. They knew strange things were happening all around them. Many families were experiencing an indescribable change taking place, but they didn’t understand. Not yet…  All they knew that they missed their kind friend and leader.

Finally, on the third day, it happened! News came that He was not where they had placed His body! Where was He? What had happened?
As they were talking amongst themselves and worrying…

Suddenly the room filled with light, and there He was! He had come back to tell them that the Father had kept His promise. He had made the way for them to once more live as His children. Their eyes would see the truth and the truth would keep them from becoming prisoners again.

Danni, along with the other children in the room, let out a loud, “YES” as his arm shot into the air. Excitement filled the air as the children waited to hear what this news would do to the kingdom of Father/King. Danni also knew this was going to affect his life. Somehow he just knew……

A Story For Daniel…continued

A story for children By Elizabeth Poulsen

Chapter Six

Well, the boy said, wait till you hear what happened next!

As the evil servant watched through the darkness, he felt his power weakening. His army was running back to him! Their weapons had even disappeared!
.
Father/King’s army was everywhere and the invisible chains that he had placed on the children’s lives were being cut off. Their eyes were being touched by someone. Who would dare to interfere with his plan? Who had this kind of power? He thought he knew all the Father’s secrets. Was there something that had been held back from him? Something he didn’t know?

Anger began to rise within the evil servant. It rose from the dark places and rang out like thunder. Nooooooo!!! I am to be the victor! I have waited for this moment!

He could not understand what was happening. All had been planned so carefully he thought. Only One could do this!

Suddenly he felt himself pulled away to another place – to another kingdom – a place Father/King had created for him.

Long ago, when Adam and Eve had listened to his lies, he too had been sent from the Garden. No longer could he come and go in the heavenly places either, a place where he once called his home. Father had driven him away to another place far below. This place was created long before Adam and Eve -for Father knew the heart of this servant from the beginning. You see Father knows all things from the very beginning to the very end.

This servant’s evil presence would never be welcomed among the friends and faithful servants of the Father, for darkness surrounded the evil servant and the Father’s kingdom was filled with light.

From time to time Father would summon him to account for his whereabouts or if he was being cruel to someone that Father decided had need of rescuing. At those times, Father would command the servant to stop his attacks on that place or that person and he would have to obey.

Father always watched over the earth and all his children sending them help and messages of his love even though the evil servant tried to interfere every time.

This father of lies did not care much for this place the Father/King had put him. He preferred to roam the earthly kingdom created for the children of Adam and Eve. His roar could cause fear and slavery.  For thousands of years it increased his sense of power as he destroyed the dreams of God’s created ones.

This evil servant held the keys to sin and death, keys to a door which Adam had opened when he disobeyed his Father and King. In believing the lies of this evil one, Adam and Eve had lost the powers that Father had given to them to rule the earth and care for it. They had lost the protection of living in the Garden where there was eternal life in their midst. They could not walk every day with their Father/King. They would no longer enjoy the wonderful kind of life the Father had created for his children.

Sin had entered the heart of Adam and Eve that day and with it death had come to their spiritual life. They could not live forever in their bodies now, and the boy’s eyes filled with tears as he said that all of God’s children would have to pass through death as his mother had a few years before.

Now the evil servant felt himself pulled from the scene of the cruel death of the Father’s only Son. From time to time, Father had interfered in his plans and placed him back here. He had wanted to stay longer. He wanted to enjoy what he thought was the fulfillment of his wicked plan. He wanted to watch over the body of this Son of the Father. He had to be sure no-one interfered. One of the followers and friends of the Son had laid the body in his tomb. What if it was stolen? He heard that many people had ………What was this?

Suddenly, he became aware that he was not alone.  Was light entering his domain? Who was this? Why was he suddenly so powerless? Was it? Could it be?

Danni sat breathlessly as did everyone in the room waiting, hoping…

A Story For Daniel…continued

(A story for children by Elizabeth Poulsen)

Chapter 5

Danni watched the boy from Africa as he continued.
Some of the people who believed the words of the Son stayed with him every day and night. They knew Him for who he truly was, the Son of Father/King. They learned many things from the Son. They learned how to see from their inside eyes. They learned how to love and be kind. They served the Son with great love but they knew the evil servant wanted to stop Him and they were sometimes afraid.

Sometimes they were afraid they would also be killed, though they were willing to die for the Son if it had to be. Even though this was beginning to seem dangerous for them and their families, they trusted the Father to protect them. They knew the Son had great power from his Father. They hoped He had a plan to keep them safe.

The Son realized that his Father had given Him twelve special friends who truly loved Him and truly believed all He had told them. Father had opened their eyes to understand who He truly was. They also knew that the Son only did what His father told him to do. They did not understand the very special plan but they knew this was the true Son of their creator.

As more and more people came to know the truth and were freed from the evil servant’s power, the Son knew He would need His special friends to take care of these children for Him when he returned to His Father. They needed someone to continue to teach them, for the evil one would try to destroy what the Son and Father had done.  Some had already turned away.

Finally the special day had come. The day when the evil servant thought he could win the greatest prize, the Son of the Father.  He gave the orders to his head servants.
That night the Son stayed in a special Garden. This was the night He and His Father had planned so carefully. Tonight His Father would let Him do something no one else could do.

He stayed in the Garden a long time.

For the first time He was all alone.

He knew he would have to trust His Father to take care of Him in the darkest place; a place where He could not see His Father nor talk to Him. He knew He was about to feel great pain and sadness. He also knew His friends would not be able to help Him.

Long ago He and Father had decided that when the moment came, it would be as though the Son had been the only one who had believed the lies of the evil servant.  This way, He would be the only one who was punished. He would take the punishment for the day Adam and Eve believed the lies of the evil servant as well as for all their children.

He would take the punishment for all the wrong things every child did.
“ It would be as though He had made all the wrong choices we have made,” said the boy from Africa. Then he went on.

The Son would become the Way for all children to be set free for all time.

But, for this to be so, it would mean He had to be separated from His Father just as Adam and Eve and all their children. Was the son willing to endure so much pain so that we could be free to be with our Father again? Would He be able to take all the punishment for everyone? How could one person take that much?

The separation from his Father was the greatest pain He would ever feel.
The Father and Son were One. They thought the same way and felt and acted the same way. Both their hearts were filled with love, joy, peace, willingness to suffer, kindness, faithfulness and goodness as well as self-control.

To be separated from all that the Father was, all that He loved, was the worst thing anyone could ever experience but for the Son it would be the beginning of a pain that could not be explained. It would be like being torn in two.

The children of Adam and Eve could never understand this pain for they had not been with the Father and they did not understand his perfect love. They did not know how happy this kind of love would make them.

The evil servant did not understand the Father’s plan either but knew that he would rather have the son of Father/King than all the children of Adam and Eve. He thought he would become even more powerful than before if only he could imprison this Son. If he could end this life, surely the evil servant would have even greater power. He must act quickly, he thought to himself. Everything is in place. The time is now.

And then they came. Soldiers, who did not know who He was, came to the garden. They took Him to a prison. They beat Him with whips.  They did not realize He was the Son of Father/King, the only one who could rescue them. They too had believed the lies of the Evil servant.

The Son let them hurt Him for He knew it must be so. He let them laugh at Him. He let them spit on Him. It was all planned a long, long time ago. The Son knew it was almost over.

The evil servant worked night and day with all his servants to torture the Son. It was a very dark and very sad day for all those that loved the Son of the Father.

At last He knew the time was over. He cried out to His Father as He felt His time ending, and said, “It is finished! I give my spirit back to you.”

The Son had done all He was asked. He had paid the great price for the children of his Father. He closed his eyes and breathed a last breath.

The evil servant laughed for He thought the victory was his. His lies once more would build His kingdom and all those the Father loved would belong to him.

As Father/King’s friends watched they longed to rescue the Son. However, they knew their King had ordered them to wait for his command. They must obey their Father’s will. They must trust Him.

Suddenly, the earth shook. Darkness covered the world as the evil servant shouted in triumph.  Suddenly he felt a change. Where was his power over the people?

Why were Father’s servants coming over the earth?

Had he not watched the Son breathe his last breath?

Was not this one HIS prisoner? Had this Son of the Father not become the one to be punished?

Was there a mystery that he did not understand from long ago?

As Danni waited to hear the answers to these questions, his heart longed for the Son of Father/King. Danni knew that he also had chosen many times to do the wrong thing. He realized that he was one of the children that the Son had come to rescue. His eyes felt strangely moist as he listened. Deep down inside was a new sense of who he was. For the first time, Danni knew why he lived in such sadness much of the time. He wanted his life to be free. He wanted his family to be free. How could it happen?

What could he do?

A Story for Daniel…continued

By Elisabeth Poulsen (a story of the kingdom for young children)

CHAPTER 4

Danni looked into the eyes of the boy from Africa. He could tell that his eyes had been touched by the Father/King. His eyes held no fear. They seemed to be so sure of the truth. He wanted to ask him how Father had touched his inside eyes. Danni knew this boy spoke the truth. He also knew this boy felt strong.
Danni was beginning to feel strength growing inside as he listened to the true story of the boy.
He realized truth can make you strong.

As the boy continued to tell his story his eyes were thoughtful. He leaned forward and raised his arms and it seemed as though everything became still in the room. Danni’s ears were bursting to hear more. It was as though the story inside this boy had to be told.

The boy went on. He told how the son travelled through many towns and cities teaching the children of the Father.  The Son explained that it was finally the time for them to live once more as Father’s children.  This was the time they had waited to see. Their fathers had spoken of this day all their lives. The children of Adam and Eve felt hope growing within them as they listened to this man. Was He the promised one? Could it be the time?

He taught them the difference between the evil servant’s way and the Father’s way.
He told them about the rules of kindness and love. He said that the poorest children here could be the richest if seen through the eyes of truth.

He helped them to see that, what they believed made them rich, was actually a lie of the evil one.  He helped them to see what truly could make a person rich. It was not money and belongings that caused a rich life but knowing your Father/King and having a willingness to give up everything to be His son or daughter that is true richness. For all that the Father has then belongs to you.

As the people listened, Father/King could see the ones who truly wanted to know Him. He touched their inside eyes so they could see with truth. Many people began to see clearly. As the Son taught them, they now understood in a new way. Joy filled their hearts. They knew that this was the one of whom their father had spoken. This was the promised one. Father/King had told Adam he would come and Father always keeps his promise. They told their friends and families to come and listen to the good news. They were finally to be rescued from their prison life.

However, there were some whose hearts were hard. Those people were not ready to have their eyes touched. They did not like the news nor did they like the Son. This made the Father/King very sad. He knew they had given their heart to the Evil servant. The Father knew that not all his created children would love Him.
Some would choose to stay with the Evil one.

The Son taught many others how to see their Father and how to know Him. He told them many things to help the children of Adam and Eve begin to recognize the lies,  Lies that had made them prisoners of the Evil servant’s ways. He did not want one person to remain in the prison world of the Evil servant.

The son knew the Father loved them very much. The Son also loved them.Slowly and kindly, the son set the people free, within their hearts, to once again become children of their Father.

Each day the Son spent time talking to his Father.  Father/King helped his son understand the ways his children had been treated by the evil servant. He saw how sickness had entered their world. He saw their hardships. He asked his Father if he could heal their bodies and lift some of their problems from them. Father/King would tell him what special things they would do that day to show His love for the children.  He and the Son were filled with great love for all the children of Adam and Eve.

Many came to hear the words of the Son each day. They followed him everywhere. They saw him heal the sick. They saw people become happy. They saw their friends begin to see with eyes of truth and understanding.

The evil servant was angry with the son. He saw that he was losing many in his evil kingdom. He called all his army together. He came up with a plan to kill the son. The Father/King knew this plan. He and his son had already prepared for this day long ago. They knew the evil one would always find a plan but theirs was a perfect plan.

The Son had to be very careful now. He knew every part of their plan must happen for it was the Father’s perfect plan. He did not have much longer to work in this dangerous place. He had told the children of Adam and Eve all he could. He had healed many. He had shown the power of His Father’s kingdom.

He prayed all night. He knew this was the last thing he had to do to win the battle for the people.
He and the Father had spoken of this day long ago. It would be the hardest part of his mission to the children and the most dangerous. He must do the rest alone. He would not evne feel his Father near him. Father would not talk with him again until it was over. That made him cry. He knew he would have to trust his Father each moment and never give in. This was the most difficult of all missions. He must not fail. Everything depended on his being true to the plan even though it was the hardest thing he would ever do. Could he complete the mission?

And yet the Son knew, he had to do it for the children. No one else could rescue them. This was to be the only way. If he did not succeed, the children would be prisoners for all time.

Danni could barely believe what he was hearing. How would the son win this battle? How could he win it alone? He didn’t want the son to be hurt. He was sad and scared at the same time. Why didn’t someone help him? Was there really hope for the kingdom children? Why would Father/King let danger come to the son he loved? And yet Danni knew deep inside that this must be a great plan. He felt the strength growing within him as he listened to the true story.

A Story for Daniel…continued

By Elizabeth Poulsen (A story of the Kingdom for young children)

Danni felt his heart racing beneath his shirt. He wanted to know what the Father King would do to rescue this family. What was the plan to be?
The boy from Africa looked at Danni and continued…

The plan was a perfect plan.
It would be very dangerous and the son would have to leave behind his kingdom.
He would have to leave all his riches behind.  He had to leave all his friends.
He could not take his powers for they too would have to be left behind. He had to totally trust his Father to protect him for he knew he would be in the kingdom where the evil one would tempt him. He knew the power of the evil one would be very difficult to bear.
The son knew that it would cost him everything to rescue the man and his family.
He knew that this journey would be the hardest thing he had ever done. He had never been away from his Father before. They had done everything together. Now he must do this alone. He also knew that this was what his father wanted, so he wanted it just as much. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his Father, the King. The King’s son knew this was the only way but the timing for his rescue was very important.
The son waited for the moment when the king would give the final command.
The other servants of the king also waited for the exact moment.

Finally, it came.

All watched to see what the king had decided. Would he create again?
YES! He would create again. The king breathed into a daughter of Eve and she had a child. This child would be the one who would rescue the children of the king. The tiny baby would carry the spirit of His son. All his servants watched and wondered. They wondered how the king would rescue the children.

The evil servant knew the king had a plan. He knew he had to stop this plan. The king’s children often spoke of the plan their father, Adam,  had been given in a dream. They had waited a very long time for the dream to come true. Adam had told them to never forget the dream. He said the king had promised to rescue them. He said the king always kept his promises. He told them not to believe the lies of the evil servant. Some of his children listened. Some chose to believe the lies, their lives and their children’s lives were very hard.

As the child grew, he saw the sadness in all the people. He saw how hard their life was in this kingdom. The evil servant tried to have him killed many times, but His Father, the King always rescued him. Sometimes he hid him, sometimes he gave dreams to people to warn them of his danger, but always he protected him.

The king would give the child wisdom when he asked. He taught him how to understand the world around him by touching his eyes to see the way the King saw his world. The child knew that if he could see a problem through His Father King’s eyes, he would see the true way.

Often he went off by himself to talk to his Father King early in the day. He talked to him from his heart and the Father would talk back to him.

The child learned that he had two kinds of eyes. He had the eyes that most people have to see and he had another kind of eyes that saw from his inside. When he looked at something from this part of himself, he felt wise and peaceful.
He learned from His Father/King that this was called the Eyes of his Understanding. These eyes had to be opened by his Father/King because they were in the part of him that is his spirit man. He learned that when Father created man and woman, he created them with three parts, like Father.

There was a body, a soul which is where our mind, our feelings and our will to make choices are, and there was a spirit. The spirit is where the eyes of our understanding are and they can only be opened by our Father/King who created us.

Father knew that His son would need this part of him opened to accomplish his mission. He would need to know the truth about all things to stay free from the evil servant’s lies and tricks. Everything he must do would have to be according to the King’s plan and would have to be at the exact time. There was much to do and so very little time.

The evil servant sent all his armies to try to stop the son, but the King sent HIS armies to protect the son he loved.
The king knew his plan was the perfect plan. He knew His son loved Him and would obey Him. The king had waited a long time for his children. It was now the time to open the eyes of his children to see.

Danni could hardly breathe as he waited to hear the end of the story. He wondered about his own eyes. How could he learn to see from his spirit. He longed to know more. He wondered about his world around him. He wondered about his family. He had many questions forming inside his heart. How would the world around him look through eyes of truth. He had to know. Perhaps this is how he could help his family……..to be continued

A Story for Daniel…continued

By Elizabeth Poulsen ( A story of the Kingdom for young children)

Danni watched the boy from Africa with new feelings inside. He felt like he wanted to be his friend and knew this boy would never make fun of him for not having cool running shoes. Danni also knew he wanted to keep this new feeling that was growing inside him, a feeling of peace, and a feeling of hope for his own life. He listened to the boy closely as he continued his story.

The boy told how the King’s son had to leave his father to go on a very important mission.

An evil servant of the King had tricked the man and woman by offering them a way to make them just as powerful as their King. This idea sounded so good to the man and woman that they listened. He told them if they ate the fruit from a special tree, the only tree that the Good King had told them they must NOT touch, that they would be wise just like the Kng. He said the King was being selfish not to share it with them and just didn’t want them to have His wisdom and power. The evil servant told them the fruit from this tree was the best fruit and tasted very sweet. Though the kind and loving King had always shared everything, sadly the woman had believed the evil one and both of them decided to eat the fruit. Now they were held captive, for the evil servant knew that if he could just get them to listen to his lie, and believe it; he could win power over them and all their children.

This evil servant had been driven from the kingdom of God long ago, but now had returned to tempt the new children of the King. He had persuaded one third of all the king’s servants to believe his lies and now he was called, “The Father of Lies”. The King was very sad that the man and woman had not trusted the love of their creator to give them everything they would ever need. He was sad that they had chosen to trust and follow the evil servant’s tricks and to believe his lies.

“You see,” the boy continued, “the good King had given the man and woman the freedom to choose to follow anyone but had always hoped they would follow the good King.” The King knew that if they left his kingdom, their life would be very hard and filled with problems and sadness. His heart longed for those he had created. He knew they were sad and lonely. But the Father King waited, for he knew a day would come for them to be together again. He knew the hearts of those he had made. He knew that their life would be hard. He knew all things, for He was the Creator.

In the kingdom of the evil servant, the man worked hard to remove the weeds each day, only to find more the next. Thorny vines grew everywhere in his yard choking his plants. It sometimes did not rain for a long time and plants would die. There was not always water for the animals. The woman cried and was afraid and so sad.
In the Father’s kingdom, the animals drank from the quiet brook that flowed through the garden. He noticed that the animals had become unkind to each other here, where before they were always happy and playful.
He and his wife had children now and they too were also fighting and arguing with each other. No-one fought in his Father’s kingdom. It was filled with kindness. He KNEW this was because of the evil servant’s power over their hearts and minds. He was very sorry he had listened to the evil one.

He missed the kingdom of His creator. He knew, however, that he could not go back. He had disobeyed the King and could not break free of the power of the evil one. At night, he would look at the stars and he thought about his Father who had made him. Longingly he remembered the talks they had each day, His gentle hand on his shoulder, his laughter as they had named the animals. He missed those times so very much. In his heart he began to pray for help. He needed to be rescued. He told his Father that he was sorry for choosing not to listen, for following another voice.
His Father, heard his heart’s cry. He forgave his created one, and made a decision. He called his son and they talked all night about the plan to save the man and his family. They would have to have the best plan ever made, for the evil servant might find a way to trick others in the future. Their plan must work for all time.

Danni sat listening to every word of this boy’s story. He began to wonder about his mother and father. Their life was filled with problems and they were often sad. He wondered if they needed to be rescued like the king’s children. He wanted to hear the rest of the story.

… to be continued.

A Story For Daniel

By Elizabeth Poulsen (A story of The Kingdom for young children)

Daniel stood on the street outside his house, just as he had done every day before school as he waited for the school bus. Today, however, things looked different. It was like something had happened to his eyes and the colors had changed. He could see things he had never been able to see before. His heart raced with excitement!

What secrets would he learn today?
Where would he be sent?
Who would he rescue?
What power would he learn he had been given?
Would Father share a secret with him today?

Daniel’s life wasn’t always this exciting. As a matter of fact, Daniel’s name wasn’t even Daniel until Father God adopted him into His kingdom as a son. That was the day that everything changed. That was the day Father touched his eyes so he could see.

Before that day, Daniel’s world was very grey. There was no light, as far as he could see, you know the kind that made you happy inside. His parents had lots of problems and Danni could not figure out a way to help them.

Every day, Danni left his house to catch the bus with a heavy heart. Danni’s dad wasn’t earning enough money to pay the bills. His parents argued a lot now. Danni wished he could help pay bills but there wasn’t anyone who needed a boy to work.

It was hard going to school too. Most of the guys had better clothes than Danni. They always seemed to have money for things and cool stuff to show everyone at recess. Danni wished that just once he could have something to show everyone.

Now, everything had changed!

Two weeks ago, a boy visited his church and Danni knew there was something different about him. He came from Africa where many people have no jobs and they never have enough to eat. He told us about the day he walked all day to find a place where they will give you food. His father had gone far away to find work. His mother had died the year before. After walking ALL day, he saw children playing and a kind looking lady smiled at him. She gave him food and drink and then she told him a story.

It was the story of a king who lived in a great kingdom with only one son. This king longed for many children, as did his son. They had so much to share but no one to share it with them. The king also had the power to create.

He created many things from nothing. His power was not magic for magic power always has a trick attached to it and it puts the person in a type of prison. HIS power always brought freedom and happiness.

The king LOVED everything he created. He EVEN created the world and everything in it. He then created his greatest treasure. He created a man and a woman. Then he gave power to the man and woman to take care of the world and he commanded the entire world to obey them. The reason he could trust the man and woman was because he breathed HIS life into them. Now they could SEE what the king wanted them to see and they could do something even more important. They could love everything God made.

Danni listened to the boy tell the story that was told to him in Africa. He saw how big the boys’ eyes grew as he told the story. He saw the amazement in his eyes and he heard it in his voice.

But, the most important thing Danni noticed was the peace and quiet happiness this boy seemed to have. He had to wonder how he could feel so peaceful when his mother had died and his father had moved away. Danni never felt happy anymore, but he could feel the peace from this boy coming into his heart. He knew he needed to listen carefully to this story. He had something growing inside him that he hadn’t felt for a long time. It was the feeling of “HOPE”.

To be continued……..
